@katmandu14 No doubt about that. I understand that very well because I come from a place that is overrun with tourists in season. But I've been a tourist in dozens of places which I wouldn't recommend at all so, whatever its drawbacks, I'd still recommend Malaysia based on what I know and what I've seen of it. Others may have a different assessment and that's fine too.
