  1. 1. Keep as much control over your own life and keep as many options open for yourself as possible. Number 1 rule for making this happen - limit your debt; especially bad debt, as much as possible. Remember - debt is slavery. 2. Seek out and surround yourself with smart, motivated, positive minded people. You should seek to learn at least one new thing every day. Do not get wrapped up in people with negative attitudes. Before long, you will be of a similar mind and unable to see the good... ie opportunities... in anything. 3. Never forget... you only get one chance to make a first impression and no matter where you are or what you're doing, you never know who might be observing you or what that person may be able to do for you later on. No matter what; always be diplomatic and never lose your cool.
