  1. One thing I've learned the past few years is how utterly pointless it is to attempt to engage or reason with any of these people; on either side of the argument. You have exactly zero chance of changing any minds so any effort to do so is wasted. Andrew talks a lot about taxation and economic freedom and those are important matters to be sure but I personally, being retired and already quite financially secure, am less concerned about those things and more focused on things like polarization, cultural rot and societal decay. That is what I want to get away from. I have neither the desire nor the energy to spend my golden years in that kind of poisonous environment. You want to call me a quitter and a traitor for doing so? Fine, knock yourself out. I'll try to find a couple of spare minutes sometime to give a f*ck about what you think.
