  1. Well, I'm neither Andrew nor Australian so beggin' your pardon for butting in but from an uniformed outsider's perspective, it doesn't look promising. If the outgoing government was at least notionally conservative and they were still as bad as they were, I can't think an incoming labour government will be anything but a whole lot worse. No doubt the "gimme-free-stuff" crowd and the "run-my-life-for-me" crowd are over the moon about it but the rest of us who prefer some measure of freedoms are, I would say, in for a bit of a tough slog.
