If a greater proportion of male nurses work in the higher paying fields compared to female nurses, for example, 70% of male nurses work in inpatient or specialised fields compared to only 30% of female nurses, then male nurses are going to have higher average wage. This is SIMPLE maths. Male nurses, on average, also work four more hours than female nurses.. I have explained to you why the average female nurse is paid less than the average male nurse. It doesn't MATTER if they're 90% of nurses because it's comparing the average wage of a male nurse to a female nurse. NOBODY said that 90% of nurses work half a shift. You are making stuff up.

Why does it matter if women make up 90% of nurses? Male nurses are more concentrated in urban areas and inpatient settings, both of which pay more.
