Billionaire 's interest isn't a country interest let's make that very clear. Only means they are willing to gamble with uncertainty and never ending tension. Not that wise don't you think China did significant move last week over a concern on G7 monetizing Russia frozen assets. They took losses just so not willing to gamble with a high risk politically unfriendly country.. Their pragmatism kicks in.

  14. USA terminated Taiwan relations in Jan 1979 and then acknowledged One China Sovereignty until today. Since then the US status with Taiwan remains unofficial. That's stated in Congress gov. Personal preference doesn't really count. Inc billionaires interest and bad outsourcing strategies
