It has affected the spikes in rent in Canada and Australia. Canada as examples has paused intl students in some cities. I believe Australia has capped it more like the Dutch. The effect is the deteriorating quality in public services plus for you would seem like an unfair price to pay but of course you aren't aware in order to make such comparison.

@jessedavid4622 It's a game of eggs and chicken. The government wants inflation but too much inflation has killed off the consumer wallet. Btw who said they contributed to the economy. I gave an example of two countries that felt the strain in rent spikes and public services and the government took drastic actions to tackle the overheated economy. The money has gone back to the central bank because they had printed too much but created too little jobs because too many went to China that now suffered about $15 billion capital repatriation just in 2024. Maybe the jobs are finally coming back home. Stay tuned.
