I think as an underdog and medias witch-hunt for 4 years i have observed and learned to focus on policies and things that he did well as simple as keeping the promises. I dont have to like / agree with everything in his past but i think many have had such hard time to compartmentalized esp if they got hooked with MSM snd they're no longer able to form much opinions but rather following the crowd.
