Comments by "S Suwandi" (@ssuwandi3240) on "Can EU tariffs on Chinese EVs really protect the local industry?" video.
It makes all the sense when Germany economy is still recovering from the contraction from COVID, wars, migration etc. Excess imports will affect the local cars companies and unemployment so they Tariff isn't about protectionism of the local car brands but overall Germany economy. China can expand more in Asia which didn't have the issue of inflation and covid contraction.

@albback8176 long story short is sooner or later China will have to face their down stressed domestic consumer spending as these exports will not be able to replace those 1.4 billion growth and confidence. Yes total US and EU demand might have but at the moment G7 is still recovering out of Central Banks normalizing their inflation mandates..

@albback8176 in case you haven't noticed, Huawei 5G was banned as they got caught buying oil from Iran... Why would a long standing trade partner bite the hands who help them flourish?? I'd be curious about others'opinions. The US and EU are in G7 and seriously will sanction both Russia and China as again China is supplying Russia military.

@albback8176 the US and EU are always in United G7. At least they don't bite the hands that help them to flourish, like China's supplying Ruzzia military😊. Trust is indeed a very expensive relationship to rely on these days

@albback8176 wrong. A few Indian owned businesses were in the last round of the Sanction list but of course Modi would understand. Basically the vetted middlemen will take countries like China as the replacement suppliers which is rationale in nature. Will you forget that betrayal since Huawei's affair w I r a n got unfolded? They knew the red line but kept doing it while other allies would not. Again like you said, trying to find a loophole when nobody saw it is indeed very concerning and not worth investing in anymore.
