  1. I am surprised Nigeria isn't here. It too will face climate change issues. Which would hit the North disproportionately. Has actually seen population growth increase in the Northern part of the country, causing a disproportionate growth in Population that would change it from a abt 50/50 to 70/30 Muslim-Christian country disrupting the unofficial power balance. The Muslim Population being mainly North means this population pressure adds with the previous climate issues. Migration and radicalization. Wars in the surrounding countries and Sahel are pushing groups to migrate from Nigeria and while there is some from Cameroon that from the Sahel is the main issue as it will mean groups as far as Mali and the Sudan and that been involved in Islamic radicalism are migrating in. For example, the Fulani have been implicated as one of the main ethnicities involved in Jihadist attacks in Mali and Niger and they being nomadic and Nigeria having a huge Fulani population to accept them migrating in at unpresidented levels. Economic growth and Per capita are not expected to be able to keep up with this Population growth. The country has already suffered two massive recessions in the last 8 years while the population isn't slowing down. Poverty rate has already increased to the extent that it has both the highest proportion and absolute number of people in extreme poverty, over India in the later, which is impress given India is like 7 times more populous than Nigeria. Increasing crime has made all subdivisions of the country so dangerous that most first world countries advice extreme caution if visiting and this will not only hurt the economy, but increased destatisfaction and martialness of the population. And the government has blamed much of this crime on the collapse of Libya and migration of Jihadists and Bandits from the Sahel, of who Fulani from other countries do not make an insignificant amount so extra ethnic flaire. And we are already seeing symptoms like the flight of wealth as the wealthiest Nigerians have ramped up their overseas securities in forms of overseas investments and buying citizenship. Another symptom is that attacks of Northerner Herders against Middle-belt farmers have increased as climatic, wealth hording and population pressures have reduced the land available per capita to the Herders. This is probably in part a symptom of Northern Muslims migrating South which since pre-colonial history has been the source of later inter communual violence in most of all the major areas they migrated to without conquering. (which there are other evidences for this migration like trucks of extremely poor Northerns being transported south during Covid). Also animosity between ethnicties which while decreasing to some extent is giving way to a more general North - South divide driven by the civil war and more recently attacks by Northern Herders on Southern farmers that is mostly ignored by the Northern lead government. This plus the general perception that the North runs things as a new colonizer type entity is making them more and more dispised. But all in all I agree that something like 40 years might be what it takes than 20 years.
