So no, if he had to regrets first, he ain't conquering the Mauryan Empire. Maybe if his troops doesn't stop and he just kept moving forward, as the Nanda Empire was weak but even then higher chances for him to die to disease as India is wetter than all his other conquests.

  3.  @davidking6242  Yeah, no way he's conquering Nubia. It was united and powerful at the time. It stopped more competent Roman Armies and more powerful (or at least as powerful) Muslim armies, at a period when it wasn't even unified. What ha fucked Nubia is typically migrating peoples, but civilized Armies are typically pushed back no problem. (Two exceptions being Aksumites and Egyptians on 2 occasions each).

  4. 8:28 if Christianity came into existance in a time of Crisis in the Empire I think it would have. Traditional Zoroastrianism of the Sassanids had a hard time keeping all the herecies that taught proto-socialist ideals (Mazdak) or had Christian influence (Mani) and that was during a time of internal peace. If the distruptions be any stronger (as they will likely be in a let's say 300 yr time span), then Christianity would probably gain ground but like Judaism or Islam with Christianity, won't be completely to completely erase Zoroastrianism which would probably be taken over by Heterodoxic variants.

  5. Yeah, I still doubt Maurya victory, cuz if Alex arrives early he'll essentially be arriving at the point that Chandragupta began his or just before he began his conquest of the Nandas. Which means, essentially the perfect time to conquer it.
