That's another thing, he's supposedly a biologist and given he coined the term meme, an evolutionary biologist at that but somehow, he couldn't figure out the simple deduction that a characteristic that all cultures have could have an evolutionary benefit. That shows he's either not that smart or more likely, so ideologically motivated by his hate for Christianity that he couldn't give Christianity any W, well until his bullshit started to fall apart around him.

But even if he has been saying it for long, it doesn't counter the argument of this video as the argument is fundamentally that he tore down christianity and is now surprised that christianity is torn down and being replaced. That he was tearing it down while saying "christianity gud, actually" doesn't change that he tore it down.

Virtue signaling being a natural part of a stable human society doesn't mean that Woke ridiculous virtue signalling is bad. Transing ur kids to virtue signal isn't the same as wearing good clothes to virtue signal. While secular liberalism isn't neutral in the cultural sphere, it was a good political and legal model. Is there anyway to keep it just a political and legal model?.
