  1. More like laughing that they weren't doing Gnostic superstitious behavior. Also, that is anachronistic. At the very least the Eucharist was first done just after his crucifixion and could have been significantly later than that. More evidence to the late and argumentative nature of the Gospel of Judas.

  4.  @petarjovanovic1481  you could make an argument for the Priesthood of Judea but the Israelites Kings and Judean Kings with like 1 or 2 exceptions for the later didn't successfully force that on their people. Israel didn't have a pro-monotheist King ever again and Judea only had like 2 pro-monotheist Kings that tried to smash the other temples and by the nature of the ancient world this would have only meant the major ones. It is about time you accept that the monotheist priesthood wasn't the only one but that their practices was the only one to win out even through when Israelites lost their independence.

  7.  @ketsune23  well, yeah exactly the early church wasn't united but the writings we get from the desert fathers, including those with ideas now considered Heretical mostly lines up with the current canon. With like only 1 or 2 books difference, books that we mostly have well recorded in church archives like the Sherphard of hermes

  8.  @wisespidey  but the historical linguists show that the gospel of Judas is a late text, written after the 4 cannon gospels. Even the gospel of Thomas, the earliest Gnostic Gospel is still later than John.
