Nah, their explanation for this one is "iT'S NAZI ProPAgAndA.

@ИванПарапанов "the entire video is based on some random memories by random people" Literally the basis of every history. What is history when you don't rely on the records of the memories of the people that were actually there?.

@zombieseezombiedo It wasn't a famine that affected only Ukraine, but the actions by the Soviets that made the Farmine worse were carried out almost exclusively in Ukraine (shipping food of starving peasants for exportation).

@nekrataali Ah, yes, the usual blame the Kulaks that barely had access to any external markets to actually sell their grain to, not like the Soviets didn't just sieze the grain in their internal markets, so hording for increased sales becoming redundant. It's not like we don't see the same pattern being repeated at smaller scales in other major agricultural but minority populated parts of the Soviet Empire like in Kazakhstan, where due to the famine the herds dropped to a lower percentage than the human population, because like in Ukraine there was no food to feed the animals and why keep starving animals alive rather than eat them and not stave yourself. It isn't like we don't have quotes from journalists at the time, including those that more publicly were in favour of the USSR admitting it was happening. But hey, whatever it takes to defend the revolution right?.

It isn't, just because Nazis documented something doesn't make it a Myth. It was documented by several journalists during the event came forward, even more after the event and we have many memoirs. But hey, anything for the revolution.

@gunter-s1x what apologies? They are even trying to deny it, it is straight up simultaneous denialism and blaming it on the victims of the famines themselves. Basically the whole. "It never happened and if it did they deserved it" joke in real life.
6
I blame it all on the Industral revolution tho.
4
@konplayz True, Ukraine wasn't the only region affected by the Famine but Ukraine was the most hit by the actions that made the famine worse, like taking grain from already starving peasants.
4
Yeah, nothing makes me hate Tankies and their Ideology more than things like this.
3
@snoekbaars1 yes it is disputed and heavily so. Only communist writers claim that.
3
@snoekbaars1 As I said, "It never happened and if it happened they deserved it" simultaneously.
3
Which economic sanctions against the USSR?. The rest of the world was going through the great depression at about the same time. They didn't have the economic power to sanction anybody.
3
@JK-oq9cl Russia was already a Rival of the British and were already industralizing.
3
@zombieseezombiedo I have read about this period. At this same period the West was under going economic hardships and several were actually trying to buy grain from the Soviets.
2
@zombieseezombiedo Yeah, I really shouldn't bother when Russians and Marxists have so many reasons to cover it up.
2
@JK-oq9cl Isn't Industrialization being terrible the general issue that got socialists mad in the first place? And as such a constant in all the industrializing states?.
