Can you do an Episode on Nigeria, especially in relation to the #EndSARS and the current geopolitics or a historical episode on Nigeria in relation to the Nigeria-Biafra war.
107
@yellowyellow7476 nah, he'll make some money before packing, give it, 10-15 yrs.
46
I don't get why they won't just sail around North Africa.
18
When like 7 powers are influencing the same areas, get ready for Africa to become the next middle-east. It is more European interests that destroyed the middle-east than America's
15
@ashleymangtani493 And what are you gonna do about it?
12
9:46 Maybe that is what they claimed it is or what they want it to be but that is clearly not the case. Nigeria for example has blocked its borders to trade since the Buhari administration so not free trade and as part of this, they also increased their tarrifs on rice imported from Asia so it isn't a unified tarrif either. Travel may be easier but you'll still be deported without a VISA. Ghana deported Nigerians when its current economic issues started. And those are just the random facts I have come across.
8
For Myanmar it is more the Gen Z phase of their eternal civil wars than a Gen Z revolution.
7
Truly based
6
Seems like Europe is now reading "The rising tide of colour against white supremacy "
6
@ItsJoKeZ never gonna happen
5
More than Islamists paid you for this comment.
5
@rnbpl but I mean, 3rd world cities tho come closer to that global trend.
5
This basically sounds like what China is doing but when China does it, it's suddenly "China Neo-colonizing Africa"
5
This can all be solved by attaching to the USA
4
not really.
4
Not exactly, the Taliban was never for global Jihad at best they were willing to compromise with those that wanted it.
3
@guydreamr 9/11 bombings cuz USA was the enemy they were fighting and that was by al-Qaeda not the Taliban exactly. I don't know of the East African one, but if you can't even get the group right for 9/11 I doubt you get that one correct either.
3
It was way more extreme than that, closer to 1% owning 90%>
3
Eh, Democracies can also be authoritarian. At least Russia's geography also ensures the ethnic autonomies to be free states.
3
Waiting for the 2021 forecast
2
Nah, I like the lack of bias and lack of emotion
2
@Ufthak And why should this system be cherished then given its difficulty?.
2
Solve both problems by exploiting Africa and exporting the unemployed
2
4:05 Nothing on actual physical infrastructure? I get digital infrastructure implies some physical infrastructure but literally nothing on trade driving infrastructure like roads or social overheads that make manufacturing easier like water systems, like I know he can't say them individually but come on. How would health infrastructure work well without roads and who cares about gender and equity when the country isn't even developed. Anyways, seems like China is still the better option in most cases but African countries should see this chance, perfect time to play the power blocs to each other and gain the most.
2
@kimsooyaaa6926 So what about Somali Pirates? What about the Jihadists in the Sahel and the Trafficking Cartels in Libya. Part of the reason why the Chad Basin isn't being prospected for Oil is insecurity. Most of these actors will just turn to attacking the rails once they are built. The "Atlantic is pretty big" is also a bad excuse. It is orders of magnitudes cheaper to transport through the ocean than it is to transport through land. Like shipping from Low land California to high land California is more expensive than shipping from California's seaports to China or New York. Now, I think the above comparison was with roads, which are still more expensive than rail, but even rail is still more expensive than Sea.
2
@alvarez6487 I think the Chinese social credit is more similar to like your Credit score in Capitalist countries.
2
@kkk2.077 Comrade Xi is based, those against him are Cringe
2
@alehaim Oh pls, you are writing as if this is the beginning of European aid. IMF and World Bank aid have been notorious for acting as debt traps, China is just learning from them. And what about the other projects that China is building that isn't connected to China by rail, like how the hell, is a Djibouti port supposed to bring goods to China? Or the rail in Nigeria supposed to bring goods to China. Your stuff about Europe "promoting trade first and foremost" won't a Chinese rail system connecting other countries ports to China do the same? Promoting trade between those countries and China?. China is certainly not a saint but the track record says they are better for SSA than Europe.
2
@kingvxv6438 They supported Nigerian, Ethiopian Sudanese and DRC unity. The only argument I see is that the West tries to turn African states into Vassal states, not they try to break them up.
2
@theelectricprince8231 Bakassi Also the USA is in Nigeria too so I don't get how it is giving Nigeria "torment". Also, Nigeria still hasn't solved it's insecurity issue so I don't know how it can help out other countries while it hasn't solved it's own problems
2
@mombasa7 I was actually interested in the EndSARS protests. There was no "Biafran piggyback", the pro-Biafran groups either explicitly asked their supporters to not engage in the protests or to protest without pro-Biafran messaging. Edit And is a majority ruling Nigeria now?
2
@mombasa7 then why don't they cut off the Caliphate North and the Proud East?
2
@liammarra4003 Similar argument could be made China to USA, Russia to Europe but that doesn't stop those from arming.
2
@matpk I think Weimar Germany vs NAZI Germany would be better comparisons.
2
0:34 no, french flags are burnt cuz france is shit. 4:49 No one's brainwashing the Africans, Russia in the form of the Soviets are an old ally and again, France is shit so they're already hated.
2
Just more evidence of the superiority of Constitutional Monarchy to everything else.
2
@guydreamr they aides him because again, USA their actual on the ground enemy in Afghanistan as well and as the video explains, Jihadi groups aid it other from time to time, I scratch your back, you scratch mine.
1
I mean, maybe one day we get a way to use desert sand for these same use.
1
There's someone in the comments trying to scam people with your name
1
@tsubadaikhan6332 The burden of Versailes is exaggerated and Germany didn't even pay it, before the Austrian painter started his war of the destruction of Europe, which is the good thing that came out of all of that.
1
Eh, I think that the UN is still good as a negotiations board.
1
I think it is more likely that USA just joins in as the core of CANZAK. Even with decline the USA would still be the No. 2 power or co-equal power with China
1
UK ain't that poor yet. It's more comparable to Poland and nigs still flock to get to Poland.
1
The West already makes debt slaves. Latin America, Indonesia and Africa has been made into debt slaves by the USA and the IMF, using the money to actually bribe politicians and pay their own companies but China goes in and builds infrastructure, good infrastructure with which those countries an use and pay back their debts and China is supposedly the bad guy?
1
Don't worry, they don't want them back. They just want to end the sanctions.
1
I don't know why ur not mentioning that those white farmers are largely in neighbouring countries. If they're so great, why isn't Zimbabwe, Malawi or Mozambique booming right now?.
1
@zulfikar419 by Indonesia
1
@AkumaNoKuma Those are in no way comparable to what France is doing in Africa. They might be comparable with French Guiyana tho, because the region voted to remain part of China. Basically all Overseas possession of the UK are tiny islands that would starve or revert to the stone age without basically free stuff being shipped to them.
1
@Tsagan lol, the Eco is dead on arrival
1
@eugenej.6331 yeah, the moment OP claimed that ISIS are actually Kharijites is the moment you know they're spewing bullshit in that section. No significant population of Muslims claim to be Kharijite, it is an accusation thrown at them by other Muslims. It would be like Christians accusing a group of being heretical or more specifically, of like, being Gnostic (or of being Catholic in heavily protestant places). If OP wants to know how ISIS can be Salafi while most Salafis aren't violent, he should look at the Vietnamese Catholic dictatorship and German Jesuit Catholics to see how much political variance can occur in one variance of a religion.
1
@UnholyWrath3277 so what? Same issue applies to overland travel and arguably on an even larger degree. Pirates can't live on water near the overseas routes, land bandits can. The current Sea power isn't expected to decline from that position in the Atlantic anytime soon and is friendly with the Euros, overland Africa is unstable in the Sahel, ungoverned in the Sahara and generally untrustworthy of the Euros among the people.
1
@diamondsky3787 the is only where this makes any sense and even then, you can get to them as easily thru the Southern Coastal countries. But I guess North Africa is more stable in general so that might be what is making them chose those.
1
"But because the coup was instigated by the CIA" SAUCE.
1
YES. Unite Germany
1
Elaborate.
1
Do Nigeria, especially related to #EndSARS protests
1
@infozone9601 no they can't, nobody can leave Nigeria by choice. There have been Ijaw, Yoruba and Kanuri groups agitating for that the Igbo ones are just the most famous. And look that how the recent Nigerian Government deals with people that protests for separatism and tell me if that looks like "you can leave whenever you want". https://youtu.be/L_oid2s9fxQ https://youtu.be/mAHsP-bLoBM Also, so called strongest Black nation in the world lost disputed territory to Cameroon and refuses to go into Chad and Niger to Fight Boko Haram terrorists that will still return to Nigeria to kill people.
1
@theelectricprince8231 Boko Haram isn't really the most significant anymore. How many people are killed by Ansaru, Kidnappers or Fulani Herdsmen this year in Nigeria compared to those killed by Boko Haram same year?
1
"The reason is money, they are financially stable so lack of freedom isn't as evident. But why are they rich, they have oil and gas. But isn't Iran also rich in oil and gas." Iran has a far larger population than Saudi Arabia is the reason why Oil Money doesn't cut it. You see the same difference between Kuwait and Nigeria.
1
This might be the 3rd time when Ethiopia was going for Regional Hegemon status just to be blunted by far. First was Gudit, then the Oromo migration, then they barely managed to take the Southern Highlands in the late 18th-early 19th century but with colonialism removing regional hegemon status from them even with that success, just for this to happen and blunt them again.
1
@accent1666 "Hey there's nothing wrong with murder, the ancestors have been doing it for millenia"
1
@EternalModerate Let me see, Stable between the Ottoman and Saffavid Empires and about to go under Hesamite monarchies, monarchies that have proven historically and currently to be more stable and friendly to minorities than the shit we have now, before the Euros installed the shit system they have in the middle East now for their own pleasure.
1
@accent1666 Socialism then advance it to Communism.
1
Watch his most recent video. The USA is as good as pulled out.
1
Gen Z proving we're the Superior generation.
1
@Bronxguyanese Its a reference to a book, you can sear search for the pdf Online. It made a recommendation to the European nations to keep Africa as a colony indefinitely to secure itself against the riding tide of Yellow, Arab and Brown races.
1
@Moljo Well what I was referencing is a political theory that developed after racism emerged.
