  5. That was ónly because they lived in the delusion that they now could dictate rules to the EU, nòt because they wanted to be a functional part of a working coalition of countries. Added to that, membership of the EU was the demand from the IMF to rescue the, at that time, economically utterly destitute UK.

  8. It’s been GREAT for thèir ‘business’ as in ‘covering-up large sums of ill-gotten money on the Caymans, out of the reach of the EU rules. Oh, and for their business pals, that are already rubbing their hands at getting to fleece the UK via the slow, but sure privatization of the NHS, for starters.

Those with véry black money from vèry ill gotten gains, and with that money safely stashed away from the scary claws of the EU’s ATAD ( Anti Tax Avoidance Directive) would beg to differ. Same goes for the Neo Liberal hawks in Westminster ( both sides of the isle) that have been salivating at the thought of privarizing èverything they could get their grubby hands on. Add to that the people behind the fouling-up of the UK’s environment. No more EU rules to properly treat waste. Yay. Money that can now be diverted to their own pickets, and from there straight to the Caymans. To them, being out of reach of EU-rules that endangered their bottomless greed, was an absolute win.

  16. The guy is, indeed, a staunch neo-liberal. He should be called a LINO “Labour In Name Only” and there are quìte e few of them in Labour. They were -basically, the psuedo-left cabal that stifled, hindered and right-out sabotaged ánything Corbyn tried to do for the UK, especially if it hindered their attempts at selling out all social institutions built-up after WW2.
