I'm reminded of WW2 The Wehrmacht was none too pleased with Hitler. What did Hitler do? Replace ALL Wehrmacht head honcho's with the SS. It was Wehrmacht officers that tried to assasinate Hitler on several occasions. Wehrmacht consisted mainly of well-educated and often aristocratic people. Not so the SS. SS officers cadre was made-up of low-brow fanatical psychopaths.
