Tbh, it doesn't take over actual creative tasks. It takes over the busywork in creative fields, but not the actual creative work in creative work.
Anything that needs to drawn or designed for a utilitarian purpose, Ai can do. Like corporate logos, youtube thumbnails, etc. But work that requires artistic expression, no one serious would use an AI for that.
Basically, AI does not threaten art itself, but it does threaten the livelihoods of contract artists. But technology has done that to every field throughout the years. In art itself, graphic design first threatened traditional artists. Then, a boom was experienced where graphic design meant artistic jobs were more abundant than ever, and now the cycle starts again.
