  1.  @captainkirk4271  I think there is some confusion. The first reply accuses Wallace of getting lucky and not following Occam's razor. The second reply asks a good question of what the solution would be that follows Occam's razor, but then incorrectly assumes plate tectonics is what Wallace guessed. Then, Wallace's guess is essentially your explanation, but the original comment thinking Wallace's was lucky and didn't follow principles is still a problem.
