That's it in a nutshell, helping me hasn't been anywhere in their agenda. Obama claimed that he was going to do things that might help me if elected, and then did his absolute best to deliver as little as possible and blame the GOP for his failures. But, he had a period where he had a veto-proof majority in the Senate and control of the house. He could have nuked the filibuster rule for SCOTUS nominations and elbowed RBG out before the 2016 election to preserve a SCOTUS that had at least some hope of not getting drunk on it's own power. He chose not to, and now he just pops up to screw over the voters when possible or chastise black men for not doing whatever foolish thing he wants.

I found that footage of Walz playing Crazy Taxi and talking about how his wife wouldn't let him have his games at home to be pretty relatable. It's just a shame that I have absolutely no faith in the Democrats to do anything for me with policies. But, the guy is somebody that I could at least relate to, which is usually too much of an ask of either party lately.

I completely left the Democratic party as a result of them cheating Bernie out of his rightful nomination two elections in a row. And I refused to give Harris a chance because they didn't trust her to be able to win the primary, or even the establishment friendly delegates to choose her. If she's not trusted to win the primaries or the delegates by the people who know here, then I'm definitely not voting for her. And sexist that I am, I wound up voting for Jill Stein, again.

Yep, it's kind of wild that while my political views haven't really changed much since I was a teen decades ago, apart from becoming a bit more fleshed out, but now I'm somehow both a radical leftist and a rightwinger at the same time with the way the boundaries are being drawn. My views used to put more somewhat right of center, but not that far right. I just haven't had proper options of candidates to support in many years, because the Democrats are more interested in poaching GOP votes that trying to go after the various disaffected nonvoters that could show up and vote at any time if the parties would earn their votes.

@zachisebi Yes, although you can blame that on making gender studies an academic specialty that isn't subjected to any real vigor or threat of having to defend the conclusions.
7
@mrsvle Yes, although they are something that you can work on without having to have a bunch of specialized electronics.

@Purplethingyt That's not relevant, also, where I'm form women are allowed to vote. They also are more women eligible to vote than men.

@gammasmash1924 For this issue yes, but as important as this issue is, it's hardly the only issue. Having a SCOTUS that just lets the GOP get away with whatever they like with no constitutional basis is arguably a much bigger issue.

I've been saying that for literally decades. And I got shouted down because some groups would still be left out. But, from my perspective, if that does happen, which it probably will, the amount of pushback towards more targeted policies wouldn't be as life or death.

In terms of campaigning and messaging. When it comes to actually governing the Democrats moved right, significantly. Even with the rhetoric, men probably wouldn't be moving towards everybody but the Democrats if the Democrats were putting policies into practice that we liked. After all, just look at all the Latinos that vote GOP even with all the toxic things the party says about them.

@jrpurdon Of course his won't help me. But at least the GOP is willing to pretend like they want men to vote for them. The Democrats can't even be bothered to play make believe. Hence why I voted Stein.

@deprecated8036 Liberals yes, Democrats no. The Democrats are on the verge of losing elections to whatever party can manage to seize the lefties and the progressives away from them.

All billionaires are evil, you don't amass that kind of wealth by being a decent human being. Fortunately, there's few of them. White people though are easily a large enough group to be able to tip elections one way or the other if they get on the same page about it.
