This has nothing to do with her being a danger to society. This has to do with her failing to adhere to the rules of the second chance she was given. She could have just paid the fee and filed the paperwork on time and not been detained. Instead, she didn't just fail to file the paperwork months late, she went on stage in front of a camera and announced to the world that she isn't here legally.

She's here illegally because she failed to leave the country. She was given a chance via DACA, but she didn't adhere to the requirements of the program. She should have just coughed up the money and filed the paperwork on time, that way they wouldn't have had cause to detain her. But yes, we're the trolls, not you ninnies that can't fathom the fact that she herself broke the law by not complying with immigration law after she turned 18.

No, what it means is that they knew here immigration status and that she was in the car before they pulled it over. They didn't just pull a random car over and discover that there was somebody that wasn't here legally. That's been done in the past where immigration would pull over people that were brown and make them prove they were here legally. Cenk isn't right, he's being deliberately obtuse about the matter. She was targeted in the action because they already knew her status. They weren't on a fishing expedition for possible illegal immigrants.

She was part of the DACA program until she failed to file for her extension. This isn't a woman that was fulfilling her responsibilities under the program being unfairly targeted by ICE, this is a woman that failed to file her paperwork until months after the deadline and as such isn't in the program. She's screwing things up for the other folks in the program that have been properly living up to their agreement.

Ian Meadows, but she is a thief. Her violation of immigration law makes it that much harder for Argentinians and other nationalities that want visas to the US to get them legally. If people wouldn't come here illegally, we wouldn't need to be so strict about whom we issue visas to.

Bingo, that's the connection here. They probably had ICE officers at the rally knowing that there'd be somebody that wasn't here legally there and they took advantage of it. This is basically the same thing as speeding when there's a traffic helicopter monitoring a road. You speed and then a few minutes later you're pulled over. It could have been retaliation, but more likely this was just low hanging fruit. She flaunted her violation of the law in front of officers and was subsequently arrested for it.

She won't win, nor should she win. She knows what the requirements are and she's already had her status extended multiple times. She chose not to extend her registration on time the way that she's legally required to and now she's going to suffer the consequences. I've lived overseas and I wouldn't whine about the authorities deporting me if I ignored their requirements.

This is why I don't give the TYT any money. She had a second chance and she messed it up. Also, she was targeted because they knew she was here illegally. Her family members were probably targeted because they had evidence that there were illegal immigrants living there. They weren't randomly knocking on doors of immigrants hoping for a violation.
