Not to mention that they still haven't done anything to help frontline workers either in terms of protection or compensation. In many parts of the country, there are essential workers that are making less than that $600 a week stimulus check, on top of having to actually work and take on the additional risk so that everybody else can stay at home. Granted, I'm grateful to have the certainty of a paycheck and ability to pay my bills, but it's unbelievably incompetent that the Democrats weren't able to get us anything, even as they held up things up in previous rounds. If anybody was even remotely confused about the party, that should finally dispel the notion that they care about normal people.

Lonely 1 no, they haven't. They've put on a show like they want to, but I've yet to see any evidence about them being serious about it. They held out for 11 days and got nothing that the republicans wouldn't have given them without the delay. They could easily have refused to pass any of the first 4 measures unless there were provisions for us in there. The people would understand a delay to support the frontline workers that are ensuring that people are safe, fed and cared for are being protected. Compared with the other delays in getting money to people, it would be a fraction of the time. I work at a grocery store filling online orders, and people are super supportive of us, it's the politicians that aren't.

@kristi1189 that would be reasonable, so we can assume it won't happen. Neither party really cares about us, we're essential for a reason, but you wouldn't realize it be looking at where the money is going.
