This isn't just America. I saw this all over the place in China. It was so ridiculous that even if you went into a police station when dealing with customs at the border, there was a button that you could use to rate your satisfaction. It's crazy, what person in their right mind would ever rate one of those folks as anything other than perfect? They literally have the power to kick you out of the country or throw you in jail while charges are pending.

Cenk is definitely an asshole. I used to get rated like that as a teacher at a training center. It was a 5 star system and anything under 4.5 stars would eventually lead to termination. And most of the time the comments to go along with the rating were in Chinese, with no given translation, so how am I even supposed to make use of that? I had students that weren't even remotely ready for class showing up and giving me poor scores and I wouldn't receive any feedback close enough to when the classes were given to make any sort of adjustment or fix anything that I might personally have done. And ultimately, I was terminated. In the time I was working there, the management had chased off or fired 4 or 5 other teachers. It's one thing to provide a means of feed back, it's another to make it so easy with so little consideration about what the feedback even means. At this stage anything other than full points means that you think the worker should be fired.
