  1. The cops violated that student's first amendment rights. This is a public college and the college cannot prevent students from exercising their first amendment rights. What's more, it's ridiculous for the college to let Mnuchin rescind his permission to publish the video after the fact. The time for that would have been before the talk, not after. He gave permission and the college was under no legal obligation to honor an after the fact change of heart.
