+Leesi D. I'm not sure how much longer that's going to work. Considering that Bernie is more popular than Hillary and that he beats the GOP candidates by a larger margin, I think it's time that the Democratic party took advantage of the situation to move leftward while we still can.

You're absolutely correct about this. People are trying to pressure me to support Sec. Clinton if she's the nominee because a Trump Presidency would be disastrous, but I've had it with toeing the party line. If Bernie isn't the nominee, I'm no longer going to be a Democrat. I'll likely wind up voting for her anyways, but I'm definitely not going to be enthusiastic about it. I'm definitely not going to volunteer or donate. I'll vote and nothing more. I'm sick and tired of the Democrats moving further and further to the right. I want candidates with some conviction and who genuinely try to do the right thing rather than sell the voters out at the first chance. I don't expect that he'll be able to follow through on all of his promises. But, if he follows through on the things that are within the powers of the commander and chief and can get one or two of the other things through, I'll consider it to be a success. It doesn't much matter to me which agenda items he's able to get, all of them will make America better.

+Geandily The progressives are mostly with Bernie, Hillary is no progressive. She's a right of center candidate on the economy and on national defense.

+Geandily The Greens are a definite possibility for me, I'm very concerned about the environment, but the Democrats don't seem to be able to get the job done. And the GOP is pretty much beyond salvation at this point. I kind of liked what the Democrats used to be about, but they've accepted too much money from special interests and seem to feel entitled to votes on the basis of being the lesser of two evils. Bernie at least represents something that's real and something that's worth fighting for. Obama lost the idealists that Bernie has picked up because he strayed too far from his campaign promises.
