@shadowthehedgehog4737 Sigh, it's not the fault of the battery that you don't understand how the technology works. Typical rechargable AA batteries have a lower starting voltage than the alkaline ones do. They also discharge at a different rate. Depending upon the batteries themselves, they may or may not have the same amount of milliwatt hours between the two styles as they're intended for recharge rather than chucking in the bin after they've worn down too much.

TBH, there isn't much difference in that style of battery, they're usually NiMH these days and there's not much you can do with that to differentiate. More expensive betteries like the lithium ion ones can have differences in their circuitry and the like which can make a significant difference over time, but for the most part, you don't have very many choices as they won't work with the wrong gear.

Not really, the batteries all tend to have the same basic chemistry, the only real differences come in terms of how much chemical they put in and how well they seal the battery off. Just divide the mwh, by the price and the highest number wins. Now, if you start having issues with them leaking and the like, then you'll probably want to buy a different brand, but in general, there's very little difference in these batteries.
