I wish more people would take note of the permanent disability that can result here. The death rate is closer to that of the flu than was originally thought, but the flu doesn't put holes in people's lungs, damage the heart and kidneys. With the flu, if it doesn't kill you, you're probably going to recover quickly.

My mother was so selfish she had breast cancer twice. She's cancer free, but how selfish.

I'm sorry, but since when does there have to be an underlying crime in order for there to not be obstruction of justice? It's stupid to obstruct an investigation if you haven't broken any laws, but it's still criminal.
1
The Libertarians this year weren't too bad. I might have voted for them if Howie wasn't on the ballot.
1
Which is all the more reason to cut the Israelis off from any sort of military aid until things are resolved. Giving them weapons clearly hasn't worked and now they seem to feel entitled to steal Palestinian land and block legitimate humanitarian aid from places like the Gaza Strip. (We can't exactly cut the Palestinians off as we aren't giving them any weapons for self-defense)

My thoughts exactly and why I'm not going back to being a Democrat. I haven't decided what in gong to be m but definitely not a backer of either major party.
1
I don't think she's very smart. I don't see why they couldn't get the something if they're serious about that. I've only got $3k in loans, no excuse to drag this out. If they're not going cancel the debt, they should just admit that they won't so we can plan our budgets.
1
@Phuq Cue I'm curious what is this "left" and why do people support it? I keep seeing these comments accusing people of being in favor of "left." But, I never see anybody saying what left is or why they want it.
1
It is and that's why one party is run by war criminals and the other is run by terrorists. The only real differences are funding and recognition.
1
These kinds of tweets are why they've had to try to redefine the term racism so that people of color don't have to be accountable for their racist views. If they spent half the time and energy working on their communities as they do trying to find new and innovative ways of blaming things on white men and excuse their own racism they'd have few problems.
1
I think she hopes that they'll nuke DC while she's on her trip to Taiwan and will then be POTUS when she comes back. Or, she's finally lost her last marble.
1
My expectations for him were so bad that he'd almost have to exceed them by a tiny bit. A very tiny bit.

@@JohnnySilverfoote Clearly, you don't know anything about guns then. They were armed with standard service weapons. As in they didn't have hundreds of rounds, the rate of fire wasn't that high and they were still massively outnumbered. Even if every shot killed somebody, they'd still have been in deep trouble. This whole thread is rather surreal, a bunch of ignorant people trying to make excuses as to why this wasn't really that big of a deal.
1
@letthatsinkin7879 I have, have you? They've been going after the ring leaders and the idiots that provided the most proof that they intended to commit a crime. I wouldn't expect everybody to be charged, there's a logistical problem in doing so. It does not mean that what happened was any less criminal. It just means that we don't have a large enough criminal justice system to charge that many people.
1
Mox Fulder A planet where election rigging is taken seriously. AKA the Earth. Biden wouldn't have even been the nominee if they hadn't been rigging voting machines. In some places the exit polling was off by double digits and mysteriously it was only in areas that were using voting machines.
1
@spartacusforlife1508 It looks like it, but it's still close enough that even if he does win, he won't be able to do much and he'll only have a mandate to not be Trump.
1
@lazvt8469 You're not implying that when Israel does it it's not genocide are you? Because in very few cases are there even court proceedings, most of the time they're released without any sort of trial.
1
Don't be ridiculous.
1
Bernie shouldn't have let those BLM activists take his time. As a result of their incredibly rude behavior, the crowd didn't get to hear what he had to say. It's a hypocritical movement that only seems to care about black lives when it's some white person doing the killing. They shut up incredibly quickly when it turned out that girl down in Florida was killed by a couple of black men in that drive by.
1
Don't forget aboute medicare for all, as under funded as the VA is, the promise of healthcare on the other side is a recruiting tool, even if it's more or less a pipe dream.
1
Somebody white. I guess orange was close enough.
1
Also he gave the people an eviction moratorium until the end of the year via the CDC.
1
@john-vy1ml nobody is talking about disarming the national guard. That's the well organized militia that is referred to in the 2nd. That's why they can have military grade weaponry and you can't.
1
@Rhodophon who says that it can't? They needed the amendment because they had neglected to account for the lack of a standing army. Also, when they meant for it to be an individual right, they used the singular. When it was a collective right, they used a plural. It is a collective right to arms, not an individual one to firearms.
1
Except that's not happening here. A bunch of people made the mistake. That Jimmy is making here so they revised the definition to be less confusing. The previous definition used immunity to mean immune system response, but people didn't read it that way. That's why it's been dropped from the replacement deginition. A vaccine resulting in immunity wasn't really ever the point, the point was to prevent the consequences of being infected. The not getting it in the first place is just a bonus. It's why imperfect vaccines can be released and used even when they're marginal at best in preventing infection.
1
The only security issue with elections is all the BS security measures that are used to make it hard for certain voters to votes.
1
It's been working here in WA just fine. People can have the same firearms here that they do in the rest of the country, they just have to be 21 for some of them and deal with a couple other minor inconveniences. We've had zero mass shootings since then and people still get to have their firearms for anything one would reasonably need or want one for.
1
Apparently, the $2 extra above the previous bonus was too much. Not to mention the fact that many of us got our hours cut and weren't eligible for pandemic relief because the cutbacks were due to overhiring rather than the pandemic. So, we're stuggling and basically nobody except these city councils is doing anything about it. For shame.
1
Sounds like we dodged a bullet, that monster actually seems to care about the poor and isn't available for voting in that state. He might have actually represented people that aren't rich enough to bribe politicians.
1
@yagballs676 And how pray tell, do you know that ahead of time? That's a huge part of the problem, people do get these jobs, they exist, how does somebody considering college know if they will or not? It's never a 100% fill rate.
1
I don't know why we're still so chummy with Israel. They're a bunch of war criminals and they spy on the US more than anybody else. The whole thing is a lot harder to back a side in when you realize that it's mostly terrorists versus war criminals where the typical people suffer.
1
It can be both politics and good science.
1
This isn't a change to the definition, it's a revision. Words regularly receive revised definitions as use changes or people are confused by the previous definition, that's all that's happening here. The previous definition was interpreted by many to mean that if a vaccine didn't make you immune, that it wasn't a vaccine and that wasn't ever true. All vaccines fall short of that standard and if a disease is common and bad enough, a 50% improvement might be worth getting vaccinated for.
1
@JavierFernandez01 This is why the definition was revised. They used the term immunity as a shorthand for imune system response and the bare minimum revision for the entry would be to swap in immune system response for immunity.
1
@susanmercurio1060 You're not, you're resistant. This is why the definition was revised, you're highly resistant, but as you get older, your immune system may no longer be able to fight it off. That's part of why they're still vaccinating people in the 95% of the world that don't have any cases.
1
He can, it's the same authority that was used to extend the interest free forbearance period. The problem is that the courts are packed with partisan hacks that had to go along with Biden's extensions because Trump had used the authority. I don't know how folks are going to wind up paying their bills on this after having so long a period without having to make payments and being told that they wouldn't have to pay that portion of the debt. I'm not even sure why he didn't just set the 0% interest and no payments to extend for the next 80 years, it would be effectively the same result and the next President would have to take the political hit if they wanted to rescind it.
1
Don't forget about the money that we're going to send to Israel to help them commit crimes against humanity.
1
The correct solution is to just work out a method of classifying athletes based on something different. Women can wrestle men in Greco-Roman wrestling without that much trouble, but that sport is based in large part on weight. There could probably be some adjustment factor added for upper body strength.
1
Sadly they're not moving right quickly enough to give us a viable leftwing party.
1
That is the Chaanist way. I eat when I'm hungry, drink when I'm thirsty, work when I'm idle and rest when I'm tired.
1
This kind of behavior is why I no longer watch TYT and why I had TYT removed from my suggestions.
1
Make sure to write your elected officials and demand that they do something on these issues or you're never going to vote for anybody in their party again. And be prepared to never vote for them again. They won't listen, but if enough people write in threatening to cut them off and everybody in their party off, they might realize that they won't be able to get elected and as such won't be able to get those corporate bribes and "jobs" that they're accustomed to getting. Personally, between rigging 2 Presidential elections in a row and being unable to get me hazard pay for working as an essential worker, I've had it. If they don't get me my money, I'm out of here. Never again will a vote for the GOP or Democrats, even if they somehow manage to demonstrate that they're no longer corrupt. I will never believe that they've changed and I won't vote for them at any level of office or in any race.
1
Catania Momma Italia 40% of practically nothing is still practically nothing. It's always worth considering what changes could be made to improve the situation, but we're not exactly back to the bad old days of Jim Crow and weekly lynchings which is more or less what some people would have us believe. The majority of people shot by cops are still white, and the total is a lot less common than one would typically think from the hyperbole.
1
I'm not sure, but from what I understand, the time was short and any doors that were propped open, they wouldn't automatically close when the signal was given, and it can take time for somebody to do it manually. This is why a normal door like this will be kept open using a magnetic mechanism that can be automatically disengaged if there's a fire or an active shooter. It's also why it's generally illegal to prop open firedoors.
1
You should do some more research. The guys pulling people over for traffic stops have a gun because they are the ones that serve the most felony arrest warrants. Of all the jobs in law enforcement, few of them require a firearm more than traffic stops. I guess a felony arrest warrant and showing up somewhere because there's a violent intruder are probably the main situations with greater need. Perhaps if we were in the UK where people pretty much can't have firearms that may be different, but not int he US.
1
@Rocchio753 No, they wouldn't. There'd still be money to be made and that money would have gone to the other chains.
1
@Rocchio753 I know enough about economics to know that preventing the elites from stealing all the gains wouldn't crash the economy.
1
That's more or less what you'd expect from an extreme wide angle lens. I'm guessing the photographer used it because a longer lens wouldn't have been able to capture all of them in such a small space. Jimmy's feet are huge, and the rest of his legs get proportionally more normal size as he's got his feet stretched out in front of him and his upper body is relatively straight up in comparison. This is a lens effect that's often used by pornographers on foot fetish sites to make the feet look bigger if they want to emphasize that. This is also why you don't typically get flattering portraits with a wide angle lens as it tends to make the nose look super big.A portrait lens tends to be around about 85-100mm long as that gives proportions that are much more flattering. To make matters worse,t here are basically no shadows in the shot, which makes the effect even more unsettling than it otherwise would be.
1
The unemployed got that extra $600 a week on top of the $1200 the folks like me that are working essential jobs got nothing. We got the $1200 and only because they couldn't figure out how to get the money out fast enough without giving it to us.
1
My initial reaction is that they don't understand how BDSM works.
