I think she should probably do the same if she feels that way. Learning more about famous figures rarely results in a higher opinion of them.

I'm glad he at least let us see a couple times through, I'm sure somebody will throw together the entire segment if it doesn't air.

Sadly with all the various crimes against humanity that were committed by the British Crown over the centuries they were in power, it's difficult to not miss a bunch of these instances in the large quantity of other offenses.

@thinkbeforeyoutype7106 That's not an entirely fair comparison. Most of the Islamic Terrorists are legitimately terrorists, they're not freedom fighters. Yes, there have been instances of Islamic freedom fighters in recent memory in places like Afghanistan, but most of it is legitimately terrorism. It's not being done to free themselves or anybody else, it's being done to get the US out of Saudi Arabia even though the Saudi government invited the military presence quite literally. The extension to all Muslims is inappropriate and really ought to be condemned as it is just a fraction of that.

He's American now, so that makes it OK.

At least this didn't happen in Canada, they would have had to firmly request that he stop throwing eggs at the reigning monarch.

@RLplusabunchofdumbnumbers I wish we had mushy peas. All we got in our school lunches were suspicious looking grey string beans. Mushy peas would have been a major step up as they appear to at least be green.

I think the laughing sounded like nervous laughing that often happens to release the tension that's going on. And it's probably more informative about the audience opinion than the silence was.

@robadc Yes and while the conditions in what became the US weren't as bad, they were still bad enough that even the non-slave population fought 2 wars for independence to get the King of England out of there.

@thealternative9580 Perhaps, but is it better with the UK? I think that's an equally valid question and I suspect that in most cases, the former colonies that still retain the crown as the highest authority aren't going to be giving up much in removing them from their government. They may nominally be the head of Canada, but the moment that they try to exercise any of that authority the authority will be removed making the whole thing purely symbolic.

The British crown no longer has the ability to lock people up in the Tower for wrong speech. I wouldn't expect any sort of honest conversation about the Thai royal family until the penalties are dropped, or at least reduced to a fine.

I must have missed the portion featuring Wally, but then again I suppose they were haven't a hard time finding him in time for the taping.
