@JeePsSsS It is inexplicable as this is supposed to be a comedy show. But yes, he does tend to be on the right side of a lot of things where the corporate media is paid to be on the wrong side.

The correct only correct position here is that neither side has any moral superiority. At the militant and government level, it's basically terrorists versus war criminals. The people probably aren't so bad, but only one side is being funded by the US and one side has the ability to ease the tensions. I got my 4 year degree at the same ceremony where Rachel Corrie got hers posthumously after being run over by a bulldozer operated by Israeli settlers as they illegally demolished the house of the people who were previously living there. These settlers are not good people any more than the terrorists that they're complaining about. As long as people continue to take sides, and fund either side for things other than humanitarian aid, it will continue. But, BDS is something that can bring enough pressure on the Israelis to engage in real peace talks seeking a real solution that folks on both sides can live with. (At this point, there's so little going into and out of the disputed regions that effectively, we're already BDS on the whole PA) The continued crimes against humanity that they engage in makes it hard to view them as victims when they're the ones that are preventing humanitarian supplies into Gaza Strip and won't allow any sort of economic development that might make terrorism less appealing as a way of fighting for their rights.

Of course, we wouldn't throw around the term "innocent Nazi civilians" during world war two. Allied forces literally murdered tens of thousands of them in the firebombing of Dresden. We will never know how many because there were a bunch of them that were fleeing the crimes against humanity of the Soviet forces as they took out their anger over what the Nazis did to their people on the civilian population as they were advancing. There were possibly as many, or more, killed in that bombing than non-cancer deaths from all atomic bombs ever deployed combined. And if it wasn't more, then it's pretty close to being the same. And it's really about time that we just acknowledged that it's possible to recognize the horrors of the holocaust without letting the Imperial Japanese, Soviets and Americans off the hook for some things that aren't really that much better. I used to live in one of the cities that the Imperial Japanese leveled during the war, not to mention the various sex slaves and medical experimentation of a similar level of brutality to what the Nazis were doing, just being done by a group whose crimes against humanity were apparently cleansed by the power of the atom bombs. Absolutely disgusting. I pray that we some day have a world where it's possible to acknowledge that both sides can engage in horrible things and hold both sides accountable for those actions on the rare case where such actions need to be taken.

@piotrkaminski9932 Apparently, you're not smart enough to see through Israeli propaganda. eyeroll The reality is that when it comes to the planning and execution of these military operations it's terrorists against war criminals, with the people that they purport to represent mostly just wanting some sort of stable peace.

@DavidMDevich That is an issue, but there's no excuse for some of this stuff going on for literal decades and then putting no effort into getting it right.
