@lenny108 Pretty much, if you're going to try to repair it, you're stuck with some sort of a plate to spread the force out. It looks ugly AF, but it can work. The issue with this type of a repair is that the wood was weak to begin with and this doesn't actually tie the repair into the surrounding wood. Really, for best results, you just want to replace the door completely with something that's made of real wood rather than sawdust glued together.
