  2.  @MrBigdaddy2ya  People have been making those assertions for decades, and there's no evidence at all to support any impact from violent video games. It doesn't make it more likely for them to kill and it doesn't make it less likely that they'll kill. That whole thing started due to a Doom level based on the Columbine school.

  3. Yep, it's the only one in several states. And it's funded nearly entirely by taxpayers in King County and whatever they get from insurance to cover the care. I'm not sure what the current bill is, but a few years ago it came out to roughly $100 per taxpayer in the county to keep it running. Still, I'd say it's money well-spent since it means that there's a trauma center that's close enough to not need the flights.
