  2. Precisely, I've got $3k in student loans because I chose to pay as I went and was able to manage alternative financing. I feel precisely nothing for those that were dumb enough to take on all those funds. People made decisions about where to go to college based in part on how much money I would have to pay back. As a result, I'll screw myself out of $12k because I was responsible.

  3. I made my decisions about my college financing was based in part on the fact that I'd need to pay it back if I took it. I could have had nearly $15k in loans, but I avoided $12k of it by paying as I go or putting it on alternate payment methods. Why should I lose out when I chose to be responsible when others didn't?
