Not just that, but if the states have to switch by mail, it will be a lot harder for them to engage in elections fraud and discouraging the people that would most benefit from real demcracy.

@Hello8 goodbye9 there's no evidence to support that belief. In the nearly 20 years that we've been doing that in WA, there's been no evidence of an increase in fraud versus other forms. And believe me, the GOP has been working hard to find some. If anything, the system makes it easier to verify as anybody can watch the counting and there's the opportunity to challenge signatures before the votes are registered. Oregon has a similar system and they haven't had any elections fraud resulting from the mail voting.

Here in WA where we have not just all mail voting, but top 2 primaries and our redistricting is done by a bipartisan panel. It's the only reason why I will continue to vote for Democrats at the state level because the vote is still meaningful. For state positions, I get a choice of quite a few democrats in the primary and usually 2 in the general election and I can choose candidates that are more open to things like democracy and keeping money out of politics. It's an effective model. The main reason that every state doesn't have something similar in place, is that it would be too hard for Republicans to win and the Democratic establishment is none too fond of it either. We wound up with the system we have in large part because the people had the ability to directly enact these things into law without the consent of the parties.

@Hello8 goodbye9 you mean people that believe in democracy? How much is Putin paying you to undermine democracy? If you don't have the support of the people without elections fraud, then you should get a say.
