  1. Yes, whether or not that's an appropriate sentence for the crime, it is in line with what the Russian law provides as punishment. If anything, it's on the light side as there was a teacher recently that got 15 years for similar charges.

  2. I wouldn't expect that to happen, I think it's probably just being floated in order to make the final selection less objectionable to the public.

  3. I doubt they'll agree to that, but I'm sure there's going to be somebody somewhat less horrible that the public will view as acceptable since that person isn't as bad.
