  1.  @billyFNbones  Yes, also if the companies selling crap products aren't replaced by other companies, it means the product or service was a complete waste and had no market to begin with.

  2. Roughly 1/3 of the people that walk into a business will buy what's on offer pretty much no matter what you do. 1/3 will never buy no matter what you do. It's the other third that customer service influences. If you're not getting enough of the folks that will buy no matter what to keep buying, and hopefully some of them leaving positive reviews, you were in so much trouble that you shouldn't have been in business to begin with.

  3. I'm sure that there are companies with good products that are destroyed by bad reviews. But, most of those are going to be smaller companies that are over-leveraged to begin with. It also happens occasionally with video games and movies. That being said, I doubt very much that it's a real thing that happens often enough to warrant the causal link being implied.
