@Kiltedbear The difference is that if you're buying something from Walgreens it's been tested by somebody else to be exactly what you think in the concentration you expect. It's the same basic thing that wound up killing Janis Joplin. The dealer she bought that last bit from had stronger than normal and killed several other people that weekend as a result.

@deannespuhl3948 Sounds about right. For all the moral issues of dealing drugs, the reality is that if they start killing their customers with bad drugs that it's bad for business.

@cardboardcheddah3715 They would have stayed in the weather long enough to die of exposure when they're in a neighborhood with people all around, without the drugs? That's a bit of a stretch.

@Helen4Q Lower end drug dealers sometimes cut the drugs with other things to try and stretch the stuff they bought further. The higher end ones arent' as likely to do that as it increases the attention and makes it harder to charge high prices when they're killing customers.
