  2. Pretty much, that's generally how that works. If you compare the cost of employing women versus men, it tends to be more expensive to employ women than men when you consider the actual associated costs, even if you ignore fertility related treatments. Women are just more expensive.

  3. That's not quite accurate, the men's teams got cut in large part because they couldn't find enough women to fill out the other side of things. Part of that is that the sports that women prefer to play tend to be generally less expensive than the ones that the men play.

  4.  @NickM_FirstofHisName  On the whole, soccer remains rather unpopular in the US. That is beginning to change with immigrants moving to the US and retaining their interest in the sport, as well as many children growing up playing on teams, but as of writing, it's a relatively unpopular sport compared with others like football, baseball, basketball and hockey.
