@freemason4979 As much as his name has become associated with all things evil in the world, the reality was somewhat more complicated as he was a vegetarian and he chose not to preemptively use chemical weapons on the battlefield. He also permitted a unit comprised more or less entirely of the worst possible convicts to run amok and terrorize the local population and the conditions in the concentration camps are difficult to comprehend. As easy as it is to ignore that, it's not as useful in terms of identifying these sorts of people ahead of time before they're able to consolidate the necessary power to control countries.

@generals.patton546 I take it that you think the funniest thing about North Korea is that they're a democratic republic then. It turns out that what you name yourself doesn't necessarily say anything other than that it's your name. The more words like "people", "democracy", "republic", "socialist" and the like in a countries official name, the more likely it is to be the complete opposite.

@joecobb7153 And the Bolsheviks saved the world from Nazism. These things are rarely as simple as some people would like us to believe. WWII in particular had no "good guys" fighting to save the day, it was just a matter of degrees as to how bad they were. Even the US engaged in genocide as one of the strategies of trying to end the war.

@VictoryLlama The surest way to know that the Nazis were socialists is that they went out of their way to Attack the Soviets preemptively before wrapping up their business in the rest of Europe as socialists and communists are usually roughly on the same side of things, even if there are significant disagreements.

@jolojrdook1419 Considering that the regime collapsed from both end, he likely would have been sent to a front regardless of what he did. Either as punishment or as a replacement for somebody else that failed.
