I'm glad that the weather doesn't normally get that high up here. But, you're not joking, even in the 90s, you still have to take it seriously. Make sure to drink plenty of electrolyte infused water and probably throw on winter gear. Bonus points if it's something that can be soaked in water for some extra cooling power.

People are stupid. From what I can tell, the worst of it is that there don't appear to be very many rest areas. 100F+ isn't that big of a deal if you have low humidity and know to wear winter weather gear that's soaked in water and can stop to re-moisten it.

@randygraham926 Yes, I remember a few years ago going on a multi-hundred mile ride in 90F+ weather and I drank quite a few quarts of water and basically none of it came out as urine, it all got sweated out. Anytime the weather gets to be above the mid 90s, you're better off bundling up like it's the winter. And, perhaps dunking the coat in water if you're in an area with dryer air.

Why? You just throw on your winter weather gear and it feels fine. If you're luck enough to be somewhere with low humidity, you can even dunk that gear in water for extra cooling. That's what I did the last time it was that hot here.

@ChrryCola-ln5uq Not if you throw on winter weather gear and keep it to a reasonable amount of time.
