Probably, but by that point, they know where the person is in the house and potentially can secure most of the the building before going in after them.

@krackerjack1233 Sad? As long as we can keep these things from being armed and only used along with either probable cause or a warrant, it's a significant step in the first direction in terms of not having people killed during these searches. The rest of the stuff can potentially be resolved in court, but courts can't yet rule people back to life.

TBH, I hope there's laws put into place to prevent anything lethal being delivered via robot. And significant restrictions over non-lethal things like tasers and smoke grenades being delivered in such a fashion. This isn't so bad, but there's a natural tendency to want to escalate things to just deal with the entire issue.

Yes, I do think people will probably get used to it over time, but it is unsettling seeing something that's more or less a robot dog from the neck down and an arm with a hand from the neck up.

@christasimon9716 If you think that's bad, just imagine what that would be like if they didn't have to risk themselves being killed if the PIT goes poorly.
