  1. Probably the easiest is one of the GUI wrappers for rsync. I'm not sure why the hate for cli tools, it's not that hard to type, rsync -a source destination. And add --remove-source-files if you want it to be more of a move.

  2. You can always encrypt the files individually on the client side, but that can be a real pain.
