Car drivers pay most of the cost of the roads, if we stopped taxing cars to pay for roads there'd probably be less complaining about it.

@nicokelly6453 Or just remember that bikes are allowed on the sidewalks and be smarter about what sections of roads they're allowed on. I've seen far too many cyclists riding at 2mph tops up a steep hill when there's an equally steep sidewalk just feet away and jamming up the entire road in the process.

@user-wq6de6jb2i That's misleading everybody uses those streets for vehicles either directly or indirectly. And the car drivers have additional fees related to maintaining those roads as well.
