  1.  @numnum_land  Reasonable people disagree on this. The first amendment would be completely pointless if it only protected the rights of people to say things that are inoffensive.

  2.  @mal35m  It's not arbitrary. Hamas doesn't have the funds for propaganda that Israel does. Israel regularly commits war crimes and somehow they're the "good" side? They're the "good" side because they're the ones that decided, not because they're any less reprehensible.

  3.  @dinnerboons1504  Barely for historical reasons. It always should have been considered a 1st amendment issue. The main problem I have with it is that it's gotten to the point where it's mostly meaningless. It used to be an extreme way of indicating that whatever it is is destroying the country. Now it's because it's Tuesday in some places.

  4. How is that relevant? Israel doesn't adhere to international law and Hamas isn't going to do so either.

  5.  @allenmoses110  Neither does the Israeli government, so it's not terribly relevant until and unless states like the US decide to name Israel as a state sponsor of war crimes.

  6. They don't, Hamas only had one election, they pretended to be moderate and even then they got less than half the vote. How many more votes by Isrealis for war criminals until we acknowledge that the Israelis aren't any better?
