Yes, also in most cases this will change nothing as most of the time the father is who the mother says he is. This mostly impacts the ones that are either not so sure because they were with multiple men or who are outright lying about it.

@Joe-hz1nw Yes, there are practical reasons why the mother gets essentially veto power over the father, but the father should get an option to opt out entirely. There probably are some men that learn to love the kid anyways, but there's got to be a disproportionate amount of abuse that comes of it as well.

Yes, I fail to see how this impacts honest women in any sort of significant way. I'm sure there will be a small number of mistakes made, but in those cases, they can always redo the testing. Compared with the number of men that are forced to pay for somebody else's kid because the mother lied about the parentage, it's an acceptable risk.

@cosmoray9750 The promiscuous behavior isn't the problem, it's the lack of birth control and then trying to stick the guy with the most resources with the tab that is.
