@HariSeldon913 And it wouldn't have if she had shown up. A non-lawyer could have gotten it tossed on the basis of a few pictures. Just the old-timey kidnapper style photos with a current edition of the paper would probably be enough for a motion for dismissal with prejudice on the basis that it didn't happen at all.

@AliciaGuitar That wouldn't really have changed much seeing as she missed the court date and got ruled against on that basis. She still wouldn't have been there to argue the case.

The condo I live in has a similar rule about the carpet, but there is a provision for what happens if you want the carpet removed and some units have had their carpets removed over the years. The provision mostly involves ensuring that the new flooring is approved and has appropriate sound abatement.
