  1.  @kerfluffle3781  And that's in some regards a massive problem. Poor people can't afford to pay for attorneys to protect their rights because the upfront costs are crushing. Then if you do win, you might not get an award that covers it. Really, there should be reasonable caps on how much you can spend on litigation and the loser should just pay the costs in most cases.
