@LuckyCharms777 Senior skip day? I think we had that, but I skipped that year, so I don't know. It haunts me to this very day.

The information about the possible implosion is kind of old news, I think that came out day 2 or 3, before the information about the possible tapping did. The US Navy's information about there being a possible implosion event detected just wasn't circulated widely. And as good as their technology for detecting such sounds is, it does take time to process and verify and like with the tapping it could have been something else entirely.

These days, we'd publicly shame and ostracize them for bringing the plague to school.

It surprises me a bit that these waivers are still considered to be legal. The number of waivers for safety concerns that people are expected to sign are so common that I don't think most people really consider the risks they're agreeing to. Seriously, there will often times be things included that aren't reasonable or foreseeable risks or that are 100% the result of the company asking for the waiver engaging in unsafe practices. At this point, there's been so many of these waivers signed that I think most people are desensitized to them to the point where I do think there's a reasonable argument in many cases that the contract term shouldn't be enforced as there was a lack of comprehension about the term being agreed to. It's not that different from the explosion in number of warnings on labels just in case something happens, making the real risks of things that could happen far less obvious.
