@orppranator5230 The issue of the thief is essentially a non-issue typically as the items would eventually go back to the owner and until then would be in evidence. The drug dealer though is where forfeiture has some social benefits as otherwise they'd come out of prison rich and never have to work again as none of the of the proceeds would belong to anybody else.
