  1. There never should have been this level of ability of people to waive other people's rights allowed. It's one thing if you're on public, or publicly accessible, property and camera footage is released to police in response to a specific issue. It's quite another for phone records and various things on your computer and in your email to be provided to the police without our consent. That should never have been constitutional without a warrant outside of very narrowly tailored exceptions.
