I'm wondering how they can require it on that kind of short basis. What about individuals who are unable to be attend due to work or other obligations?

I'd assume that they were driving rental cars, as cars with out of state shouldn't be subject to being ordered to court in a different state.

It's typically completely random based on data in multiple databases. It's not unusual for some people to receive several of them, and others to never receive one at all.

@suedenim9208 It's not likely a factor, in most jurisdictions, it's a random draw of people and there's no guarantee that the people receiving are even eligible to serve. There's a reason why they ask if there's any reason that you're barred from being a juror.

I wouldn't draw any conclusions, the summons normally go out randomly based on various databases. You might never have been summoned again based on random chance. And, most likely that's the case.
